The Zhitong Finance App learned that the increase in aluminum stocks increased in the afternoon. As of press release, China Aluminum (02600) rose 5.01% to HK$8.595; China Hongqiao (01378) rose 3.26% to HK$23.44; Innovative Industries (02788) rose 2.32% to HK$17.22; and Nanshan Aluminum International (02610) rose 1.46% to HK$26.48.

According to the news, Norwegian aluminum producer Hydro's Alunorte alumina refinery in Brazil decided to cut production by 50% due to interruptions in gas supply. The analysis points out that this discontinuation of production may further tighten shipping supply and support overseas alumina prices, thereby reducing the enthusiasm of traders to ship goods to China. This may ease the pressure of high import supplies in the domestic market and provide support for alumina prices in China.

CITIC Construction Investment released a research report saying that production has begun to resume in the Middle East, and more attention is being paid to putting into operation millions of tons of additional production capacity overseas, but these are all future production increases, making it difficult to resolve the reality of shortages during the year. The short-term gap will drive a rebound in aluminum prices, and the outstanding performance of aluminum companies will drive the recovery of aluminum-related standards.
