On August 17, at the request of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region General Headquarters for Flood Control and Drought Relief, the State General Office of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Management, together with the State Food and Reserve Administration, added central drought-relief materials such as 55 drought-relief pumps, 37 generators, and 100 water storage tanks to support Xinjiang in its efforts to combat drought and reduce disasters.
