Shanghai Electric Power (600021.SH): SDIC Binhai 2×1,000,000 kW Expansion Project Unit 6 put into operation

Zhitong Finance App News, Shanghai Electric Power (600021.SH) issued an announcement. Recently, Unit 6 of the SDIC Binhai 2 x 1 million kilowatt expansion project invested and built by China Power Investment Group Jiangsu Electric Power Co., Ltd., the holding subsidiary of the company, successfully passed the 168-hour test run at full load and was officially put into operation.

The coastal expansion project is located in the Binhai port area of Yancheng Port in Jiangsu Province. It is planned to build two 1 million kilowatt ultra-supercritical secondary reheating and high-efficiency coal-fired generators. The units use deep peak shaving technology, which can achieve 20% BMCR load stabilization and deep peak regulation, and are simultaneously equipped with environmental protection facilities such as flue gas dust removal, desulfurization, and denitrification. Unit 6, which was put into operation this time, is the second unit of this project. The first Unit 5 was put into operation on July 12, 2026. Since then, the coastal expansion project has been fully completed and put into operation.

The two units of the Binhai Expansion Project were put into operation at full capacity, which is conducive to further optimizing the thermal power asset structure, improving asset quality, and continuously enhancing the company's core competitiveness and sustainable development capabilities.
