The three major A-share indices fell collectively in early trading. As of midday trading, the Shanghai Stock Exchange Index fell 1.96%, the Shenzhen Securities Index fell 3.97%, the GEM Index fell 4.98%, the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 fell 3.7%, and the Science and Technology Innovation 50 Index fell 6.07%. The total market turnover was 1631.1 billion yuan, a decrease of 18.2 billion yuan from the previous day, and the total market volume fell by more than 4,900 individual stocks. In terms of sector topics, the kitchen and bathroom appliances, coal mining and processing, banking, oil and gas extraction and services, and port shipping sectors registered the highest gains; the electronic chemicals, CPO, memory chips, semiconductors, and components sectors registered the highest declines. On the market, the kitchen and bathroom appliances sector fluctuated and rose. At one point, Yitian Smart was close to a 20 cm rise or stop, and Wanhe Electric, Boss Electric, and Vantage shares followed suit. The coal mining and processing sector opened high, with Baotailong, Shaanxi Heimao, Dayou Energy, and Meijin Energy rising and falling, while Antai Group, Zhengzhou Coal and Electricity, and Liaoning Energy registered the highest gains. The banking sector fluctuated higher, with China CITIC Bank, Bank of Chengdu, and Bank of Nanjing leading the way in gains. The CPO sector opened low, Tianyang New Materials fell to a halt, and many stocks such as Fuxin Technology, Taijin Xinneng, Decolly, Shenzhen Keda, and Tongfu Microelectronics fell sharply. The semiconductor sector also fell sharply, with many stocks such as Shengmei Shanghai, VeriSilicon, Huahong Hongli, Chippeng Micro, and Jiewalt falling more than 10% in the intraday period. The component sector also showed weak performance. Xianfeng Holdings fell to a halt, while Maijie Technology, Kexiang Co., Ltd., Taijing Technology, Xingsen Technology, and Nanya New Materials had the highest declines.
