On August 19, Volvo Cars appointed Alexander Petrofski to succeed Anders Bell as Chief Technology Officer, effective September 1. Bell will lead key strategic startup initiatives newly established within Volvo Cars to explore how to scale up the company's already developed platforms and digital technology. Magnus Nilsson, head of the Ghent plant in Belgium, will serve as Chief Manufacturing Officer and will be responsible for production and manufacturing engineering. Francesca Gamboni will serve as Chief Procurement and Supply Chain Officer.
