Lyon: Changhe (00001) has responded positively to the launch of international arbitration at the Port of Panama

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Lyon released a research report saying that Changhe (00001) has officially initiated international arbitration against Panama over the Republic of Panama's violation of investment protection treaties, targeting port concessions and disrupting group investments through national actions, with claims of more than 1.5 billion US dollars. The news is positive, as the market has left out the contribution of two Panamanian ports. If Changhe receives compensation of at least 1.5 billion US dollars, which is equivalent to about 4.4% of the current market value, the bank estimates it is equivalent to at least 19.5 times the EBIT of the Port of Panama in 2025. Furthermore, the bank stated that Changhe had no record of losing lawsuits in previous appeals or arbitration.
