06:08 AM EDT, 08/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg lowered its Huber+Suhner (HUBN.SW) estimates and price target, noting the company's "muted" first-half results in its Thursday research note. The Swiss electrical and optical connectivity group reported first-half net sales of 457.4 million francs, up 2.6% year over year but stood 3% below AWP consensus. Meanwhile, EBIT was 41.2 million francs, down 8.4% annually and coming in 18% below consensus. "Huber + Suhner's H1 2026 results, released on 18 August, uncovered some growing pains as the company ramps up its optical circuit switch (OCS) production. Elevated costs associated with setting up production with new highly automated assembly lines in Poland pushed the Communication segment's EBIT margin into negative territory. However, we expect this effect to dissipate in H2 with the acceleration of OCS shipments since June and that the margin will comfortably recover to 14% in H2," the research firm said. As such, Berenberg cut its sales, EBIT and EPS forecasts from 2026 to 2028. It also reduced the hold-rated stock's price target to 200 francs from 250 francs.
