The early completion comes as Vandemoortele conceded to the findings of the regulator's independent inquiry group, which determined that the merger would substantially lessen competition in the UK for the supply of frozen viennoiserie products to supermarket and foodservice customers, according to a Thursday notice. To resolve the concerns, the Belgian food company Vandemoortele agreed to sell its laminated dough production facility in Worcester, England, along with its existing UK sales operations in Staines-upon-Thames to a suitable purchaser.
