China Electric Power (02380): The subsidiary signed a general contract with the Shandong Institute for the construction of the desulfurization system for the Baicheng project

According to the Zhitong Finance App, China Electric Power (02380) announced that on August 21, 2026, Yuanda Engineering (an indirect non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company) signed a general contracting contract with the Shandong Institute. According to the contract, Yuanda Engineering will provide survey and design, equipment procurement, construction installation, and other technical support services for the construction of the desulfurization system for the Baicheng project, at a cost of RMB 126 million (approximately HK$146 million).

As the country's environmental standards for coal-fired power plants become more strict, contractors rely on their expertise in providing contract services for desulfurization projects to help customers meet the requirements of compliance with mandatory regulations. The company believes that the general contracting contract will strengthen the contractor's position in the field of environmental protection and is in line with the Group's strategic goal of transforming into a green and low-carbon energy supplier.
