According to a report in the US “Atlantic” monthly magazine on the 20th, Ukraine planned to launch an artificial intelligence drone fleet at Moscow Airport at the beginning of this year to force international airlines to ground Moscow routes, thereby putting pressure on the Russian elite and pushing Russia to the negotiation table. Two sources revealed in the report that these drones equipped with AI guidance systems will find and hit targets on their own. To break through Russian air defense systems, the plan originally intended to launch up to 1,000 drones every night to Moscow and surrounding airports. Sources said that Ukrainian President Zelensky had expressed concern that drones might mistakenly hit civil airliners or even cause human casualties. However, due to his desperate desire to get chips to restart the negotiation process, Zelensky still allowed the work related to the plan to continue for several months. According to the report, former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhailo Fedorov was the mastermind of the plan. After Fedorov's dismissal in July, plans were put on hold. However, an official in the Ukrainian President's office denied that the plan existed.
