President Donald Trump called on South Carolina voters to “pretend” that they have him on the ballot and vote to support the candidate he personally promoted, Senator Darlene Graham, to participate in this highly competitive Republican primary election. Trump himself did not run in this midterm election. The Republican Party is making every effort to gain control of both houses of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and Trump hopes to use this to boost the enthusiasm of Republican voters to vote.
