Pailin Biotech disclosed its semi-annual report on August 23. In the first half of 2026, the company achieved operating income of 830 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 15.88%; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was 8430.1 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 64.25%; and basic earnings per share were 0.09 yuan. The company plans to pay a cash dividend of 1.5 yuan for every 10 shares. The blood products industry was affected by factors such as collection expansion, DRG/DIP reform, medical insurance fee control, drug priority monitoring and rational drug use, etc., which led to a decrease in the number of clinical prescriptions and a decline in market demand. As a result, the gross margin of the company's blood products business declined year-on-year during the reporting period. Furthermore, due to changes in the value-added tax collection model, blood products will no longer be included in the scope of simple collection of 3% value-added tax from January 1, 2026, and the 13% general tax calculation model will be implemented, causing the gross margin of the company's blood products business to decline further year-on-year during the reporting period. In the second half of 2026, according to the company's production and product batch issuance plan, the supply of products in the second half of the year was sufficient compared to the first half of the year. At the same time, the short-term impact of changes in the value-added tax collection model decreased. It is expected that the overall performance of 2026 will show a low and high trend.
