According to data released by Korea Customs on Monday, the number of cases of illegal importation of weightloss drugs such as Wegovy and Mounjaro from abroad in the first half of the year was more than three times the amount seized in 2025. According to statistics from the Korea Customs Service, from January to June, customs seized a total of 4,155 cases of Wegovy and Mounjaro smuggling through direct shopping and other illegal channels, far higher than the 1,189 cases in the whole of 2025.
