Recently, in the Yingge Sea area of Hainan, CNOOC Hainan completed the drilling operation of China's first offshore pilot test well for artesian gas injection. This test has opened up an engineering path for low-cost carbon injection at sea, taken a key step in “revitalizing stocks, reducing carbon efficiency” in the old gas field in the South China Sea, and also adding hard-core technical reserves to the construction of a clean energy island at the Hainan Free Trade Port.
