EasyJet, Apollo-backed Eagle Bidco Extend Scheme Document Deadline

02:51 AM EDT, 08/25/2026 (MT Newswires) -- British budget airline EasyJet (EZJ.L) and Apollo Global Management-backed Eagle Bidco agreed to extend the deadline for publishing the scheme document for their proposed merger. The deadline would allow the parties to continue constructive engagement with relevant aviation regulators following the summer period, according to a Tuesday release. The scheme document is now expected to be published on Oct. 15, while completion of the acquisition is targeted for the first quarter of 2027. Eagle Bidco agreed to acquire EasyJet for 5.7 billion pounds sterling in August.
