The Zhitong Finance App learned that on August 25, Novartis Pharmaceuticals (NVS.US) announced that lutetium [177Lu] texiverpitide (Chinese product name: Pavital) was approved in China for the treatment of patients with prostate-specific membrane antigen positive (PSMA+) metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (MHSPC) in combination with androgen receptor pathway inhibitors (ARPI). This is the third indication that the drug has been approved in China. Currently, it can be used in patients with psMA+ metastatic prostate cancer at all stages — from MHSPC to metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC), covering multiple key treatment stages from before to after chemotherapy. In addition, Novartis recently submitted an application for local production of the drug in China.
