The reporter learned at the first batch of relief university Xiong'an campus campaign promotion conference that the four universities of Beijing University of Science and Technology, Beijing Forestry University, China University of Geosciences, and Beijing Jiaotong University will officially open their doors in September next year. Up to now, 164 buildings are required to run the school, 4 have been completed, 156 main structures have been capped, and 98% have been completed. All buildings will be completed for completion and acceptance by the end of May 2027. The road network around the university has basically been completed, bus routes have been opened, and all water, electricity, heating and communication are connected. In the next step, the four colleges and universities will focus on engineering construction, and move forward simultaneously with construction, operation management, and preparations for running schools. Relying on the advantages of universities in fields such as artificial intelligence, materials engineering, marine exploration, and ecological seed industry, Xiong'an will support the construction of 23 provincial key laboratories and 2 provincial technological innovation platforms, lay out innovative research institutes, and accurately connect with emerging industries such as space information, satellite internet, and artificial intelligence.
