A relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said that during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, China will implement a series of special actions to speed up the construction of a modern industrial system with advanced manufacturing as the backbone, and push the construction of a manufacturing power and a network power to a new level. According to reports, during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, the value added of China's manufacturing industry continued to account for around 25% of GDP. A total of 504 excellent smart factories were built, and the country's green factory output increased from 9% to 22% of the total manufacturing output value. During the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, China will accelerate the development of advanced manufacturing, organize and implement traditional industrial renewal actions; accelerate the construction of emerging pillar industries such as integrated circuits, aerospace, and biomedicine; strive to cultivate about 100 demonstration parks and 1,000 demonstration enterprises for the development of emerging industries by 2035; and promote future industries such as quantum technology, brain-computer interface, and physical intelligence to become new economic growth points.
