Iran's First Vice President Mohammed Jafar Gampana said that due to the US naval blockade, Iran is unable to import gasoline, and warned that the current fuel situation is difficult to sustain. “It won't work if it continues like this.” Gampana said domestic gasoline production is insufficient. “Under the US maritime blockade, we are unable to import gasoline.” At the same time, he said that “military force” should be used to push for implementation of the Ibero-US memorandum of understanding. Gampana said that under the guidance of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Iran and Oman reached a joint statement on Tuesday requiring ships to use the routes specified in the memorandum and not cross the southern sea border of Oman.
