SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Salesforce, Inc. (CRM) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter earnings of $3.53 billion.

On a per-share basis, the San Francisco-based company said it had profit of $4.29. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and amortization costs, were $5.90 per share.

The results topped Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 14 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $3.27 per share.

The customer-management software developer posted revenue of $11.35 billion in the period, which also beat Street forecasts. Thirteen analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $11.32 billion.

For the current quarter ending in October, Salesforce expects its per-share earnings to range from $3.42 to $3.44.

The company said it expects revenue in the range of $11.42 billion to $11.5 billion for the fiscal third quarter.

Salesforce expects full-year earnings in the range of $16.67 to $16.71 per share, with revenue ranging from $46.1 billion to $46.4 billion.
