Prudential Posts Lower H1 Profit; Insurance Revenue Rises

11:20 PM EDT, 08/26/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Prudential (PRU.L) said Thursday that attributable profit for the first half decreased, while insurance revenue increased year over year. Profit attributable to equity holders of the company for the six months ended June 30 was $954 million, compared with $1.28 billion earlier. EPS moved to $0.378 from $0.491. On the other hand, adjusted EPS was $0.584, compared with the year-ago period's $0.493. The insurance company's insurance revenue was $5.90 billion, compared with $5.33 billion a year ago. Meanwhile, the board approved a first interim dividend of $0.0888 per share for the period, payable Oct. 22 or Oct. 29 to shareholders of record on Sept. 11. It paid $0.0771 per share in the year-ago period. Looking ahead, the company affirmed expectations for double-digit growth in adjusted EPS and dividend per share for full-year 2026. It also affirmed targets for full-year 2027.
