Alternative Income REIT Reiterates Rejection of Glenstone REIT's Offer Amid AEW UK REIT Backout

12:02 AM EDT, 08/27/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alternative Income REIT (AIRE.L) repeated its call for shareholders to reject the cash offer from major shareholder Glenstone REIT after AEW UK REIT (AEWU.L) said it would no longer pursue a competing offer. In a Wednesday statement on AEW UK's decision, the targeted real estate investment trust said it was "deeply frustrated" at Glenstone's refusal to support AEW UK's proposal. It said AEW UK's offer could have delivered a more attractive outcome for shareholders and that Glenstone denied shareholders the opportunity to consider it. Alternative Income added that its concerns with Glenstone's offer did not change following AEW UK's decision, prompting its renewed calls for the rejection of the proposal.
