The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to data from the China Association of Listed Companies, as of July 31, 2026, there were 5,541 listed companies in the domestic stock market (hereinafter referred to as the “full market”), while the Shanghai, Shenzhen and North Stock Exchanges had 2,313, 2,897, and 331 respectively. By share type, there were only 5,261 A-share companies, 273 A+H, A+B multi-share companies, and only 7 B-share companies.
At the end of July, the share of state-owned listed companies and private listed companies in the market remained stable, at 27% and 63% respectively. By province, the number of listed companies in Guangdong Province is 900, ranking first in the country; according to the jurisdiction of the Securities Regulatory Commission, the number of listed companies in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Beijing was 734, 623, and 484 respectively, ranking in the top three. The number of companies in the six jurisdictions of Zhejiang, Shenzhen, and Anhui increased from the previous month.
At the end of July, the total share capital of the entire market was 8.9 trillion shares, an increase of 88 billion shares over the previous month. Among them, Changxin Technology (688825.SH)'s share capital accounted for more than 70% of the increase. Based on the closing price, the total market value of domestic stocks was 110.5 trillion yuan, down 8.5 trillion yuan from the previous month. Among them, the market value of the manufacturing industry fell 10.5 trillion yuan month-on-month, and the share fell to 59.6%. The market value of the financial industry increased by more than trillion yuan, and the market value of the mining industry increased by nearly trillion yuan. The share of both industries rebounded.
In July, the overall market capitalization center of listed companies declined: the number of companies with a market capitalization of 100 billion or more decreased by 28, including the price-earnings ratio of companies with a market capitalization of more than 30%, such as Cambrian (688256.SH) and Xinyisheng (300502.SZ); the number of companies with a market capitalization of 100 billion or less decreased by 167; and the number of companies with a market capitalization of less than 10 billion yuan increased by 201. At the end of July, the median market capitalization of the entire market was 5.55 billion yuan, down 600 million yuan from the previous month.
In July, 14 new initial listed companies were added to the market, with a total initial capital raised of 97.61 billion yuan, higher than the total amount of initial capital raised in the first half of the year. Among them, Changxin Technology raised 66.61 billion yuan, ranking first in the market in total market capitalization; 8 companies were successfully delisted, including 6 main board companies.
In January-July, 32 A-share companies from all over the market went public in Hong Kong, raising more than HK$200 billion, of which the computer, communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing industries accounted for more than half. Semiconductor chain companies such as Zhongji Xuchuang (03308) and GigaYi Innovation (03986) were active in raising capital. At the end of July, there were 1909 Chinese concept listed companies in major overseas markets, of which the number of H share companies increased by 59 compared to the beginning of the year.
