On August 27, Evonik Industries Group's Supervisory Board held a special meeting to appoint Lei Tiexi as the Group's Executive Director and Vice Chairman, effective September 1, 2026. Lei Tiexi, 66, has been working at Evonik for over 30 years. Currently based in Singapore, he is the president of Evonik Asia Pacific and is responsible for the Asian business. Until further notice, he will act on behalf of Evonik Industries Group Chairman and CEO Cullman. Culleman recently underwent a major emergency operation and will focus on rehabilitation over the next few weeks. Lei Tiexi will continue to be responsible for the Asian business as the Group's executive director.
