Samsung Biopharmaceuticals announced on Friday that it will raise 3 trillion won through an allotment to fund investments related to its long-term growth strategy. The biotech company under the Samsung Group said that approximately 2.71 trillion won of the capital raised in this allotment will be used to acquire Swiss company Peptide Group. The company announced this acquisition plan in July, and plans to acquire this professional CDMO company to expand its business footprint. According to regulatory documents submitted by the company, Samsung Biotech will issue 2.27 million common shares at an issue price of 1,322 million won each to the company's shareholders on November 4. The current allotment will be distributed to existing shareholders according to the shareholding ratio, and unsubscribed shares will be publicly offered to the public.
