06:06 AM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The US Patent and Trademark Office granted a notice of allowance to Elicera Therapeutics' (ELIC.ST) patent application for ELC-401, its CAR T-cell candidate against glioblastoma. The intellectual property rights application aims to protect the special antibodies that recognize and bind to the protein IL-13Ra2, which is often present in cancer cells, as well as their use in cancer treatment, the clinical-stage cell and gene therapy company said Friday. The patent gives Elicera the exclusive rights to develop and market anti-IL-13Ra2 antibody therapies and related cancer treatment technologies in the US.
