12:05 PM EDT, 08/28/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Berenberg launched its coverage of Metso (METSO.HE) with a buy rating and price target of 21 euros as part of its Capital Goods & Industrial Engineering report published Thursday. "The group's position as a mineral processing full flowsheet provider allows it to access the broadest addressable market, which we expect to grow materially in the coming years as mining capex increases. The group's market-leading position in minerals crushing and grinding supports both mining and aggregates applications, which - allied to recently improved financial targets - drives a 14% EBIT CAGR at an attractive valuation, in our view, with upgrade potential as further mining projects are sanctioned over the next 12 months," the research firm said as it updated its views on mining equipment order cycles. Over the 2026 to 2028 period, the Finnish industrial machinery company is projected to see revenue and EBITA compound annual growth rates of 9% and 14%, respectively, amid an increase in mining project activity. Analysts also expect a cyclical upswing in construction and infrastructure spending across Metso's key regions, potentially leading to a "significant" earnings recovery at the company's Aggregates division.
