On August 25, Chen Shaowang, Vice Minister of Housing, Urban-Rural Development, met with Patrick, Director of the Regional Projects Division of UN-HABITAT. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on cooperation in areas such as the Global Sustainable Cities Award, building the UN-HABITAT China Office, and better sharing China's experience and solutions. Chen Shaowang said that China has always maintained a friendly cooperative relationship with UN-HABITAT. In recent years, the two sides have achieved fruitful results in World Cities Day, the Global Sustainable Cities Award, and implementation of the “New Cities Agenda”. In the future, we expect the two sides to explore providing China's experience to other countries through training, project cooperation, knowledge sharing, etc., and use the construction of the UN-HABITAT China office as an opportunity to push the two sides to a new level of cooperation.
