A general station reporter learned from the Sichuan Geological Disaster Prevention and Control Headquarters Office that from 8:00 a.m. on August 28 to 8:00 p.m. on August 29, heavy to torrential rain fell in Leshan City, Yibin City, Luzhou City, Ziyang City, Zigong City, Guangyuan City, Guang'an City, Ya'an City, Meishan City, etc., and some heavy rain. The maximum rainfall was 185 mm at Taohua Station in Muchuan County, Leshan City. Heavy rainfall did not cause geological disasters. As of 7 o'clock today, a total of 4,500 safe-haven people have been transferred early in 17 cities and 87 counties in Sichuan within 24 hours. So far, a total of 12,14,669 safe haven evacuees have been transferred early in Sichuan Province since the flood began.
