Insiders Sold Neumora Therapeutics Prematurely At US$2.29 With Stock Trading Higher

Listen to the news

Despite the fact that Neumora Therapeutics, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:NMRA) value has dropped 15% in the last week insiders who sold US$128k worth of stock in the past 12 months have had less success. Insiders would probably have been better off holding on to their shares given that the average selling price of US$2.29 is still lower than the current share price.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, logic dictates you should pay some attention to whether insiders are buying or selling shares.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Neumora Therapeutics

In the last twelve months, the biggest single sale by an insider was when the Chief Operationg & Development officer, Daljit Aurora, sold US$51k worth of shares at a price of US$1.49 per share. So what is clear is that an insider saw fit to sell at around the current price of US$1.39. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. In this case, the big sale took place at around the current price, so it's not too bad (but it's still not a positive).

Neumora Therapeutics insiders didn't buy any shares over the last year. You can see a visual depiction of insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last 12 months, below. By clicking on the graph below, you can see the precise details of each insider transaction!

Insider Ownership

For a common shareholder, it is worth checking how many shares are held by company insiders. I reckon it's a good sign if insiders own a significant number of shares in the company. Insiders own 4.5% of Neumora Therapeutics shares, worth about US$12m. While this is a strong but not outstanding level of insider ownership, it's enough to indicate some alignment between management and smaller shareholders.

What Might The Insider Transactions At Neumora Therapeutics Tell Us?
