Anthropic is drawing up a plan to allow existing shareholders to sell some of their shares in its major IPO, while also considering implementing a longer share lock-up period than usual after listing. Arranging a second sale of old shares in the IPO will distinguish AnthroPic from the other two major technology listed companies SpaceX and Cerebras this year. The latter two do not allow existing shareholders to sell shares during the IPO phase. However, in recent years, IPOs of large technology companies such as CoreWeave and Figma have allowed old shareholders to sell shares while issuing new shares. This stock sale will enable Anthropic shareholders to redeem the huge wealth they have accumulated over the past few years. The company's private equity valuation has continued to rise, reaching 965 billion US dollars in May this year. The investment bank has discussed an IPO valuation of 1.5 trillion US dollars, which is slightly lower than SpaceX's IPO pricing estimate.
