Ge Yue, vice president of Apple and managing director of Greater China, delivered a speech at the 2026 China International Big Data Industry Expo recently. She said that Apple has been doing business in China for over 30 years. The App Store ecosystem has more than doubled developer revenue and sales in China over the past 6 years. In terms of investment in Guizhou, Apple made an initial investment of 1 billion US dollars in the iCloud Gui'an data center as early as 2018, and has continued to invest billions of dollars since then. Ge Yue explained that the Gui'an Data Center is also leading the way in green development. Since it was put into operation in 2021, the Gui'an data center has been 100% powered by renewable energy.
