According to China Railway, recently, the “Dream Building Jinling” large diameter mud and water balance shield machine, which was jointly developed by China Railway Equipment under China Railway Industry and the China Railway Tunnel Administration, was successfully rolled off the line in Hangzhou, marking a critical stage in the construction of the first high-speed railway crossing channel in Nanjing. The Nanjing Shangyuanmen River Crossing Corridor runs from Nanjing North Railway Station in the Jiangbei New Area in the north and connects to the main city of Nanjing Railway Station in the south. The total length of the line is about 20.4 kilometers, of which the tunnel section is about 14 kilometers long, and is designed as a single-hole double-track high-speed railway tunnel. The tunnel crosses the bottom of the Yangtze River for a long distance. The maximum depth is 107 meters, and the maximum water pressure is 1.07 MPa. It is currently the deepest railway shield tunnel with the highest water pressure along the Yangtze River.
