Data show that from 2021 to 2025, China's share of imported meat fell from 44.7% to 31.2%, and aquatic products surpassed meat as the largest imported category for the first time in 2025; fruit and shrimp grew rapidly, and the increase in fruit imports was mainly due to the volume of Vietnamese, Thai durians, and Chilean cherries.
