After the landslide disaster hit Jilong County in Shigatse City, Tibet, in accordance with the unified deployment of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the China Geological Survey immediately launched an emergency plan to deploy 14 disaster experts and technical cadres from the Beijing Geological Survey Center, the Civil-Military Integration Center, the Natural Resources Aeronautical Geophysical Survey and Remote Sensing Center, the China Geological Environment Monitoring Institute, etc., carrying equipment such as drones, rangefinders, satellite phones, etc., to the disaster area. Beginning in the early morning of the 27th, personnel arrived one after another and immediately joined the Ministry of Natural Resources expert working group to carry out geological hazard investigation and risk assessment, etc., and fully cooperate with the rescue. Recently, experts from the China Geological Survey, together with the natural resources team of the Tibet Autonomous Region, formed a number of emergency investigation teams to carry out potential risk surveys in the ice collapse source area, investigation and risk assessment of dam characteristics in the affected core area, complete the production of 3 square kilometer drone orthophoto images, measure the size of the dam, investigate the material composition, scale and downstream channel mud level, and investigate hidden hazards on high and steep slopes, high-risk glacier lakes, mass settlements and rescue channels, and implement prevention and control measures item by item.
