Written speech at Bishkek Manas International Airport in Kyrgyzstan President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China is happy to be invited by President Zaparov to pay another state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic after a lapse of 7 years and attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Bishkek summit. This was my third visit to beautiful Kyrgyzstan, and I felt very cordial. On behalf of the Chinese Government and the Chinese people, I would like to extend my sincere greetings and best wishes to President Zaparov and the people of Kyrgyzstan. The traditional friendship between China and Kyrgyzstan has a long history, and the majestic Tianshan Mountain has witnessed a history of friendly exchanges between the two peoples spanning thousands of years. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 34 years ago, Sino-Kyrgyz relations have been tested by international changes, and have always maintained healthy and stable development, reaching a high level of comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era. In recent years, cooperation between the two countries has ushered in a “golden period” of rapid development. The volume of bilateral trade and personnel exchanges between the two countries reached new highs. Major projects such as the China-Jiwu Railway have been successfully implemented, and the real results of mutually beneficial cooperation have widely benefited the peoples of the two countries. During my visit, I will have an in-depth exchange of views with President Zaparov on Sino-Kyrgyz relations, cooperation in various fields between the two countries, and international and regional issues of common concern, and draw up a new blueprint for building a common destiny between China and Kyrgyzstan. I look forward to attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Bishkek summit, working with all parties to summarize the 25 years of development experience of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, discuss plans for cooperation, create the future of the organization, and promote the continuous development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
