Hyperliquid Strategies stock posted big gains this week following the release of the company's fiscal year report.
The company's stock also saw gains driven by valuation increases for its Hyperliquid cryptocurrency.
Hyperliquid Strategies (NASDAQ: PURR) stock closed out this week's trading up big over where it was priced at the end of the previous week's close, but it also saw significant volatility. While the stock gained 9.7% in the week, it had been up as much as 31% before seeing a significant pullback.
Before the market opened on Thursday, Hyperliquid Strategies published results for its 2026 fiscal year -- which wrapped on June 30. Along with encouraging print in the report, the company's share price was boosted by strong performance for the Hyperliquid token that underpins its treasury strategy.

Hyperliquid Strategies' earnings report appeared to show encouraging foundations. The company raised $647 million in equity funding through committed stock facilities and closed out the fiscal year with $149.9 million in cash and equivalents against zero debt. The company also increased its treasury of Hyperliquid tokens from 12.5 million to 29.3 million. The company also posted $305.5 million in net income for the year, with the paper profit primarily driven by increases in the paper value of Hyperliquid tokens.
The performance of Hyperliquid Strategies stock will likely remain closely tied to the performance of the Hyperliquid cryptocurrency for the foreseeable future. While most cryptocurrencies are primarily speculative assets that have little in the way of actual use cases, the Hyperliquid cryptocurrency is built around an exchange that generates actual revenue and earnings.
With that in mind, the token functions more like a stock than the vast majority of cryptocurrencies on the market. Hyperliquid Strategies is currently primarily structured as a cryptocurrency treasury company built to hold Hyperliquid tokens, and performance for the token and its associated exchange for commodities trading, spot trading, and perpetual futures can be expected to have a corresponding impact on the stock.
