As of 18:00 on the 29th, 16 people had been killed and 546 missing as a result of the disaster. Currently, all emergency rescue and disaster relief work is still progressing in an intense and orderly manner. Traffic on National Route 216 was interrupted due to the impact of the landslide disaster. In order to allow more rescue forces and large machinery to work deep into the affected core area, yesterday, rescue teams cleared two inflection points of the first S curve on the damaged National Highway 216, widening the road by more than 230 meters. Today's road clearance work will continue: first, to step up efforts to remove slag and fill large blocks of stone, and make every effort to clear roads; second, continue to do a good job in search and rescue of missing persons; third, strengthen on-site monitoring, early warning and safety management to strictly implement protective measures for waterfront operations to ensure the safety of rescue operations; fourth, strengthen coordination with joint headquarters and other departments to scientifically study upstream water conditions, and dynamically optimize disposal plans, and increase investment in equipment and personnel to open up rescue channels as soon as possible.
