PETALING JAYA: Following a surge in high-calibre campaign submissions for the upcoming Effie Awards Malaysia 2026, the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) will host the Effie Festival Malaysia Conference 2026, a half-day summit curated to be a masterclass in modern marketing strategy.
Set to take place on Sept 11, 2026 at the M Resort & Hotel in Bukit Kiara, the conference will complement this year’s highly anticipated Effie Awards Gala, held in the evening of the same day.
According to 4As, the festival was designed as an immersive, full-day industry experience for marketing professionals, with conference tickets inclusive of a complimentary seat at the gala to offer a seamless transition into the evening’s celebrations.
“The conference brings together industry leaders, top agency talent, and Effie jurors to explore the core pillars that define modern marketing success,” said LV Chong, organising chairman of the Effie Awards Malaysia 2026.
Drawing on the theme of “Intelligence. Ideas. Impact.”, the conference aims to challenge the sector to think beyond surface-level metrics, establishing new benchmarks in strategy and creativity to drive the Malaysian advertising industry forward.
In the meantime, participants at the conference can expect an insightful programme centred on achieving marketing effectiveness in Malaysia, with finalist case showcases from potential and past winners, as well as knowledge-sharing sessions from industry experts.
A notable highlight is the keynote presentation “Asian perspectives on effectiveness from Spikes Asia’s 2026” from Melanie Speet, director of Spikes Asia.
The session will explore key trends, strategic insights, and award-winning campaigns from Spikes Asia, a leading platform that celebrates creative excellence in advertising and marketing in the Asia Pacific region.
Another segment that’s not to be missed is the “Ideas That Shape Perspectives” panel, which will deliver a glimpse into the minds of C-suite brand leaders and strategic veterans who recently conducted the rigorous evaluation of the 2026 Effie entries.
Additionally, the conference will include a session on tackling challenges in marketing through a Gen Z perspective, presented by Sanrego Rowa, junior art director at Dentsu Indonesia.
Titled “The Roaches We Ignore”, the discussion will focus on dissecting the small yet persistent problems that are quietly eroding brand relevance.
Conference attendees should expect to gain practical insights into the nuances of creating and executing marketing communications strategies for a positive business impact, enhancing their ability to recognise the latest global trends, leverage data and artificial intelligence, and apply practical frameworks to assess marketing effectiveness.
Participation is open to industry professionals and future marketing leaders across the sector, with limited seats allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
