The Zhitong Finance App learned that Lenovo Holdings (03396) rose nearly 5% in early trading. As of press release, it had risen 3.84% to HK$18.68, with a turnover of HK$115 million.

According to the news, Lenovo Holdings announced interim results. In the first half of the year, it achieved revenue of 362,935 billion yuan, an increase of 29% over the previous year, mainly benefiting from the sharp increase in revenue of its Lenovo Group and Lianhong Xinke; net profit attributable to equity holders of the company was 2,230 billion yuan, an increase of 219% year on year, driven by a recovery in portfolio value in the industrial incubation and investment sectors. Excluding the one-time impact, net profit attributable to equity holders of the company was 5.812 billion yuan, an increase of 834% over the previous year.

It is worth noting that in the first half of the year, the Lenovo holding system promoted the listing of 12 investee companies, covering the fields of artificial intelligence, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, etc., and more than 30 companies are awaiting listing; it has invested in more than 80 technology projects, covering artificial intelligence, quantum computing, optical interconnection, etc. Currently, Lenovo Holdings has invested in more than 300 companies in the AI field; the systematic layout in other cutting-edge fields also includes more than 110 pharmaceuticals and medical care, more than 60 green industries and future energy companies, and more than 50 smart companies.
