BW Energy Signs Framework Deal for Angola Acquisition

01:17 AM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Independent oil and gas company BW Energy (BWE.OL) signed a framework agreement with private energy company Etu Energias and Chariot to secure exposure to interests in Angola. The company agreed to support Etu's 31% interest in Block 14 and 15.5% interest in Block 14K, two producing deepwater licenses offshore Cabinda, according to an Aug. 28 release. Etu entered a sale and purchase agreement to buy the interest from US-based energy giant Chevron.
