The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran issued a statement on the 31st saying that air defense forces used a missile to hit a US military MQ-9 long-range drone over the Strait of Hormuz. The drone then crashed into the Persian Gulf. The Iraqi side did not disclose information such as the exact time it shot down the drone.
