UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash said that it is necessary to resolve the Iran crisis in a sustainable manner and resume normal shipping in the Strait of Hormuz. According to him, a “no war, no peace” state cannot be considered a sustainable solution, and policies aimed at the Persian Gulf countries and Jordan have also proven to be ineffective. On his personal account on social platform X, he wrote: “We now need a realistic and sustainable political solution that takes into account the political and economic dimensions of the crisis, starting with downgrading the confrontation and restoring normal navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, thus forming a more realistic path than the Memorandum of Understanding — the memorandum failed to provide a viable and acceptable road map.”
