Shiyao Group (01093): Phase I clinical trial of SYH2092 injection for weight management in adult overweight or obese patients officially launched at the first research center in China

According to the Zhitong Finance App, Shiyao Group (01093) announced that the phase I clinical trial of the SYH2092 injection developed by the group for weight management in adult overweight or obese patients has officially started at the first research center in China.

This product is an amylin (Amylin) receptor agonist. By optimizing excitatory activity, the product is expected to improve efficacy while having controlled tolerability. Furthermore, by optimizing fatty acid modification, the product can extend the half-life in the body and has the potential to provide long-lasting weight loss benefits. Preclinical studies have shown higher target stimulatory activity, significant weight loss effects, and long-lasting weight loss maintenance effects compared with many insulin analogs currently in clinical development.

The Group obtained the drug clinical trial approval notice for this product issued by the China National Drug Administration in August 2026, and commenced phase I clinical trials of the product after approval. The Phase I clinical trial launched this time aims to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics of this product in a single dose in healthy participants.

The product is expected to provide significant clinical benefits for weight management in obese patients and improve blood sugar control in adult patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM). The recruitment and screening of participants for this phase I clinical trial is being actively promoted.
