G City to Launch Compulsory Redemption for Remaining Citycon Shares

12:07 PM EDT, 08/31/2026 (MT Newswires) -- G City will begin compulsory redemption proceedings for the remaining shares it does not own in Finnish real estate group Citycon (CTY1S.HE) and delist the target from Nasdaq Helsinki after exceeding the 90% ownership threshold. The real estate company secured 91.05% of Citycon shares and voting rights, representing 167,147,166 shares, after 2,190,191 shares, or a 1.2% interest, were tendered during the subsequent offer period, according to a Monday release. The payout to shareholders who tendered their shares is scheduled for Tuesday. G City will apply for the delisting of Citycon as soon as permitted under exchange rules and applicable laws.
