The Zhitong Finance App learned that on September 1, Counterpoint Research released quarterly data on China's smartphone shipment market share. Despite a double-digit year-on-year decline in smartphone sales in China in the second quarter, shipments fell by only 1%, mainly because OEMs had already stocked up inventory ahead of time to cope with further increases in storage prices. With 23% market share, Huawei achieved high year-on-year growth, mainly due to Kirin 5G chips returning to the Enjoy series. Enjoy the 90 Pro Max and Mate 80 as their main sales drivers, and the newly launched mid-range Nova 16 series also performed well in the market.
