Ampeak Energy Sells Interest in UK Battery Storage Project to Construction Partner

05:49 AM EDT, 09/01/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Ampeak Energy (AMP.L) said Tuesday it sold a 24.7% equity stake in the AW1 Battery Storage development at its Uskmouth Sustainable Energy Park in the UK for 7.8 million pounds sterling. The London-listed energy project developer sold the interest to JBR Energy Holdings, a special-purpose vehicle owned by directors of its construction partner in the project, Jones Bros. Ruthin (Civil Engineering) Co. Ampeak retained majority ownership of the project, with a 50.6% stake, following the transaction. It earmarked proceeds from the sale for its development portfolio in and out of the UK.
