The “Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Royal Thai Government on Mutual Exemption of Visas for Ordinary Passport Holders”, which came into effect on March 1, 2024, continues to be in effect. 2. According to the relevant agreement, Chinese citizens can still enjoy visa-free treatment when visiting Thailand with a valid passport. Starting from September 15, 2026, Chinese personnel with ordinary official passports and ordinary passports will still be able to enter Thailand visa-free for travel, family visits, and other reasons complying with the provisions of the agreement. 3. Visa-free entry does not equal unconditional entry. Those who intend to enter Thailand for activities requiring prior approval, such as work, study, news reporting, or settlement, and who intend to stay in Thailand for more than 30 days must obtain a corresponding visa before entering Thailand. When entering the country, please ensure that the validity period of your passport meets Thai requirements, and complete the Thai electronic immigration card declaration in accordance with the regulations.
