Macau Special Administrative Region Chief Executive Shum Ho-hui said on September 1 in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, that with the implementation of China's “15th Five-Year Plan” and the “Third Five-Year Plan” of the Macao Special Administrative Region, cooperation between Macau and Indonesia will usher in new opportunities, and the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two sides will surely further deepen. Pan Budi, Deputy Co-ordinating Minister for International Economic Cooperation of the Indonesian Ministry of Economic Coordination, said that Macau has strong advantages in international connectivity, and has also actively promoted moderate and diversified economic development in recent years. Indonesia and Macau have close economic, trade and personnel exchanges, and the two sides have great potential for cooperation in various fields. We hope that enterprises from the two places will further strengthen ties and seize opportunities for cooperation. During the reception, the two sides signed 9 cooperation agreements covering the fields of economy, trade and investment, tourism, exhibitions, medicine, etc. On the same day, the Macau Economic, Trade and Tourism Investment Promotion Conference was also held in Jakarta, which led to the signing of 36 cooperation projects on site.
