Listen to the news

The recent 11% drop in Endurance Gold Corporation's (CVE:EDG) stock could come as a blow to insiders who purchased CA$354.9k worth of stock at an average buy price of CA$0.64 over the past 12 months. Insiders invest with the hopes of seeing their money grow in value over time. However, as a result of recent losses, their initial investment is now only worth CA$305.3k, which is not what they expected.

Although we don't think shareholders should simply follow insider transactions, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

The Last 12 Months Of Insider Transactions At Endurance Gold

In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when Independent Director Richard Gilliam bought CA$325k worth of shares at a price of CA$0.65 per share. That means that an insider was happy to buy shares at above the current price of CA$0.55. It's very possible they regret the purchase, but it's more likely they are bullish about the company. In our view, the price an insider pays for shares is very important. It is generally more encouraging if they paid above the current price, as it suggests they saw value, even at higher levels.
